When i graduated from business school, i was the lowest person in my entire graduating class. My starting salary was a third of what everyone else was getting. But if we make the choice to like what we get, instead of trying to get what we want, we get to do better work. If you are a knowledge worker and you work in a typical environment, why haven't you started a book club at work? How would that create engagement and relationships that would pay off for your organization? You don't have to come to work to be able to weave together a new culture on top of an old one.
