Doing Well, It's Not Because You're So Smart and Great

We are at a moment when it is very uncomfortable to know that almost anybody who's doing well, whatever that means in our world, is based on this historical foundation of slavery landtheft. So we can't really claim to be blameless. And lots of people don't recognize it and deny it and get mad if they even hear anybody saying it. But the culture war is all you know, will we admit this, or will we insist that it never happened?
