Mindfulness and Detachment for Mental Compulsions

How would you apply these different tools for someone with mental compulsions? The end game is mindfulness and detachment. My opinion, is the open peninggambets, the opening moves it. It's very difficult to go from a frightened, terrified or scared and slide over to neutral and detached. And so i think initially we need to be thinking about a more aggressive approach.
