Introduction
About 25% of patients with colorectal cancer will develop liver metastases during their lifetime. The standard of care these days is a combination of typically cytotoxic chemotherapy with resection of those limited liver metastases. For those patients who have limited liver metastase, those patients can actually undergo surgical resection with a curative intent and survival can reach 30 to 40%.
