The Evolution of MPs' Expectations
i think there are a few different things at play here the first one is how expectations have evolved um especially now that you know obviously that's not very recent development but what happens the chamber is filmed and people kind of follow more closely. i didn't believe there ever was a time actually where all MPs always voted and always participated in every debate but also it's not i'm not convinced we need it so i know. A lot of you know especially on big sort of emotional debates every mp will want to do a three-minute speech saying exactly the same thing that everyone else said so they can clip it for social media or put it on their facebook page.
