The Importance of Idolatry in Disobedience

The first thing we see is that disappointment not properly dealt with subtly opens the door to our disobedience. Israel didn't want to replace God, they just wanted a physical representation of him. An idol is usually just a good thing in our lives that we've turned into an ultimate thing. Idolatry is also worshiping the true God in a false way.
