The Importance of Reading to Old People
Sean Raffity, who knew them all, was a gardener, poet and neighbour. The village is always silent for a while after we lose someone. There are more windows dark, more empty pews in the church. But as they would have known, life goes on. We must find ways for young and old alike to leap the divide. It's a lesson for any civilized society.
