The No Physical Account of Consciousness
If you try to explain the subjective feeling of being wet in terms of the movement of molecules on skin, something will be left out. The type of description we give in physics is what Sharma's called at most structure and function. So Sharma thinks the taste of coffee in my mouth doesn't appear to be a structural or functional fact. And if we explain A in terms of structure and function and that doesn't entail B, well, it doesn't look like B can be A.
