The GOP's Openness to the Idea That Someone Else Should Be the Nominee
I was in a sort of off the record meeting yesterday with a bunch of people of all political stripes. The clear suggestion was that Republicans in aggregate are open to the idea that maybe somebody else should be the nominee in theory. But in practice, 25% of the party does not like Trump and does not want to vote for him. And that in theory, should Trump stumble, there is a real opening for somebody to take advantage of that.
