Is It the Case That the Economic Profession Has Banned the Word Depression?
I refuse to take Selena's quantitative easing seriously. I see it as a rhetoric, monetary rhetoric, but you know, that's my prejudice. The other thing is they have withdrawn from it under duress from pushback from capital markets. It feels a little bit like COVID. There are some terms which are no longer appropriate for putting on global clubs. And now we only talk about recessions and no, not depressions at all.
