Sue Carter: I want to hear what your thoughts are about oxytocin. That's also a big thing that I think is often misunderstood. And also related to dogs because you've also mentioned dogs and pets. We see oxytocin as a moderator of autonomic state. So it enables bodies to feel safe in the presence of others. It enablises the sub-daphragmatic vagus not to surge and shut us down. What it does, if you want to talk about it's a facilitator of the immobilization without fear,. which is what intimacy is.
