The Chess Club in St. Louis

I consider online lessons but it's much easier for me to absorb things when people are in the room and I think online lessons and online resources are great. It's fantastic that there's been so much democratization of the chess literature through the internet but in-person lessons are different just like going to a doctor is different from reading medical advice online even the medical advice is good right. There's an element of trust and an element of an interpersonal relationship that you can just only achieve in real space and real time. Even though St. Louis isn't my favorite place in a lot of ways as I go into. Not the chess club itself which is a wonderful place but the city has some drawbacks
