Christian Faith Is Never Based on Historical Reconstructions of Jesus
Dave Fitch: The church is built on the risen Christ, his presence among us as we gather around the table and as he is present in our lives. Jeff Holsklaw: It was just very important to historically prove that Jesus and all the words about him and everything he said is important. Dave Fitch: Let's not deny that Jesus is both historical and that the texts are true and they're worthy of our trust. That's not what the faith is built on.
