The Death of Elegablus

Elegablus adopted his cousin bacianus alexianus, the future emperor sevus alexander. This seems to have been an attempt to conciliate the pretorian guard and show there was a succession plan in place. The army soon turns against elegablus in favor of alexander but he continues to make noises that he will soon have his own son. He divorced faustina and married aquiliu severa again, to try and give birth to a sonwho would succeed him.
