Guest: Nate Schenkkan is a researcher and policy analyst specializing in authoritarianism, transnational repression, and democratic resilience. He previously served as Senior Director of Research at Freedom House. His previous work has examined authoritarian influence networks, repression of exiles and diasporas, and the erosion of democratic institutions across Eurasia and beyond. A frequent commentator and author, Schenkkan’s research has been featured in major international outlets and policy forums, contributing to our understanding of how autocrats extend coercion across borders and how democracies can respond.
