As a student, naroji was exposed to a constant tussle amiserly government and indian stakeholders demanding more resources and better funding. He did not have to look far beyond the classroom walls to observe the many yawning gaps between imperial rhetoric and reality. To some extent could explain the fact that he isn't a radical and thinking in terms of breaking away. Instead, he wants to continue doing and he does for the rest of his life.
