What Is a SWE Year?

At Google we have a metric called a SWE year, which I think is honestly used a bit less now. When you're looking at a project and trying to evaluate how useful it would be, it's often measured in SWE years. So we'd say this project will save five SWE years but only take me a month to implement. A SWE year being like, a SWE being software engineer.
