The millennial and the gen Z's have been living in a 5% CPI world for over 40 years. So that's one of the reasons why I am not that horrified at whatever the CPI is right now, 6%, 6% inflation. Second thought was about debt to GDP. Over the long term, if you want to keep a constant ratio of government debt to GDP, which you kind of need to,. Otherwise you just keep building and building, building. That means that your deficit to GDP must equal the rate of nominal growth of the economy.
