The Death of a Mechanical View of the World

I want to ask you a question that I know you often address publicly and really get into it. Can a scientist pray? Can you pray? Well, I can, but do. There's a sort of worshipful prayer. A lot of scientists actually pray in that way, without knowing that they're doing it. Because one of the rewards for what is actually a laborious business doing scientific research is a sense of wonder when you see the beautiful structure of the world or the way things work.
