The Disinterested Perception of Something

In Likings and Loves for the Subhuman, Lewis introduces this notion of disinterestedness. He does it while finding a kind of third category between gift love and need love. The disinterested perception of something is almost an aesthetic perception, right? So you see a beautiful sunset and you want it to go on for its own sake. You don't necessarily want it to going on just for your sake, right?
