TikTok and Neeming's Secret Meeting
Neeming flew to Seattle in December 2019 for a secret visit with Microsoft CEO, Sachin Adela. Neeming dangled the promise of storing ByteDance's massive amounts of data with Microsoft's cloud business. This meeting hasn't been reported on, but it was important because it laid the groundwork for a much bigger discussion about Microsoft and TikTok joining forces down the line.
