The Importance of User Experience in IT

I've been working with Internet since about 2000. It's just these last couple of years we're seeing, talking about the user in a sense that we're used to for external sites. I like that. That's come this last three or four years, I guess, has been trained for that. The knowledge is getting broader now. More people switching roles. IT departments maybe now have resources that are switching between external projects and they're reusing the same techniques. They think, well, it's the same kind of stuff. We've learned during the last decade or so about taking care of the user or understanding the needs.
