The Effect of University on the Decision to Attend University

In Australia most people that go to university they still live with their parents certainly in Sydney and the major cities where most of the universities are. It's just very very expensive to afford a place to live by yourself and there's no things like dorm rooms and stuff like that which is quite common at least from what I can tell in the USA just doesn't exist here. To an 18 year old making a decision that sounds like a pretty appealing option even if they not necessarily doing a cost-benefit analysis or a long-term projections about what it means for their future self completely off topic but I thought it was an interesting perspective.
