Reading this book gave me total boner for the gold standard. I never thought i would think it was as cool as i do, or that i would see studying the gold standard as a perfect prism through which i could look to the future. The more money that flows disproportionately into bitcoin, and doesn't flow into the capital structure of making the world wealthier, essentially retards the productivity process such that bit coin will actually start to become less valuable. If we're not investing in that in real terms, then society gets poorer. And so i want to figure out, what does that world look like? But i've assumed that we're going to get to that point.
