Cyril Bogus was a dealer in antique furniture with a shop in the King's Road Chelsea. He had achieved a reputation by producing unusual items with astonishing regularity. When asked about his secrets, he said: "Just my little secret, you tap your nose like that" His idea to comb the countryside came after an incident when his car overheated and he stopped at a farmhouse for water.
