The US's Response to the Niger Coup
Senior United States diplomats have visited Niger to push coup authorities to restore democratic rule after the overthrow of President Basam. Victorian Newland, who's the US acting deputy secretary of state said on Monday that she held what she called Frank and difficult talks with military leader Musa Salaou Baum.
