During that period of time, i worked on police use of facial recognition. The policy community was really concerned about surveillance s were the post snowed in yer snteresti. If you want to be the technical person who works in policy, you want to stand the cutting edge and your home may have to be computer science. There's not really a home for people who live on the boundary. But it's really tough for some folks, ecause sometimes you want to hope that there will be a world where you can really do both.
