I'm Crying, Said Anne
Marilla and Matthew have decided to keep Anne at their home in Avonlea. The pair are so happy that they both start crying, which Marilla finds distressing. She says: 'I suppose it's because you're all excited and worked up' But can't i call you aunt? asks anne wistfully. "It would make me feel as if i really belonged to you" replies marilla. They will try to do right by the little girl who has never had a relative before.
