Boss's Reputation in India
Bose's achievements were celebrated. He was knighted in 19 17 and made a fellow of the royal society, the ultimate tribute of distinction for scientists in britain. But his international reputation as a scientist is much more complicate ed and equivocal. His contribution to the physics of small scale radio waves was broadly accepted in his lifetime,. As a plant scientist, the situation was far more murky in recent years. However, his ideas obout plant responses had gained some traction among some western scientists. And one of the still unsolved mysteries about boss is to investigate his his ability to invent these remarkable instruments with laughably primitive instruments oi support our interostructure.
