The Risks of Base Effects on Core Inflation
Last week's hawkish ECB meeting changed the view from the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see the headline come down by maybe half a percent or so. The real question is then what happens to core and look at the monthly rate of core inflation? It wasn't actually that strong. June was not one of the strong ones.
