Microservices and Paying for the Expertise of the Reviewers
James1: I like this idea of microservices and paying for specific parts of the publishing system. This will inevitably put stress on the subscription model of journals, pushing more towards open access. Is there any way out of this prestige trap of us or of researchers continually paying high fees just to get into these prestigious journals? James1: The thing that won't go away is paying for all of that because he wants his brand in print.
