The Left and the Right View of the World
The right takes the approach of how did the symbol come to be and what meaning does it intend to convey? The left's perspective is there's a symbol. I'm going to tell you what I want it to be, but it's a humpty-dumpty, right? Words can mean whatever I want them to do. Whatever empowers me. That was just what political correctness is to the right using rationality. To interpreting me and not ascribing meaning, but to interpret it.
