Shakespeare's Hamlet Um Reminiscences

Stephen Booth says the biblical echo is very much an illusion and makes the speaker sound smug presumptuous and stupid. He doesn't think him saying I am that I am which in the Hebrew  makes him sound smug because he's putting himself above these people. The repetition of the word vile kind of corrupts by the time you get to the second last line when he says evil so inherent in these words and his constructions is the idea of evil.
