The History of Changing Optimism

I'm a little, it's striking to me how many digital humanities projects promise new global inclusion of diverse cultures. But I think there's a rhetoric there that echoes something that I saw in the show with some mead and Bateson. And he says, we're here to undo the codes. So part of what I'm writing is this history of changing optimism,. about what it might mean to understand society in terms of codes and systems.
