The different types of mosques that were being formed by diasporic Muslim communities across the country. I identified one type which was the kind of converted house at the house mosque. And then later on communities would often redevelop the existing sites to create purpose built buildings. In many if not most cases the Islamic architectural references replicated on post-war mosques are more generic or approximations of historic Islamic architecture from places where Muslim empires once ruled.
