Saint Paul's Mental Asylum
The asylum was built 800 years ago in the eleventh century, as a monastery. In 16 o five franciscan monks converted saint paul into a mental asylum. It's currently home to only 20 patients in various stages of mental illness. Psychology is still such a new field in the late 18 hundreds that doctors have no lasting solutions or treatments. The best they can offer is a place like this, where the needs of those with misunderstood afflictions can be tended to.
