The Effects of Sleep on Paralysis
Brainwave activity can tell us that the brain is actually dreaming rather than just like sleeping alone. If you think you're running, your brain might send a signal to your leg and they can see that in the EEG. But there's a reason why your leg doesn't actually get up and start kicking. Maybe we need to sleep to clean out these toxins, the bad stuff that collects in our brains.
