The Disconnect Between Value-Based Care and the Way Providers Get Paid
Last year was the first year that more than 50% of providers in the United States are employed by some entity. 80% of primary care physicians and 90% of specialists are paid by volume, according to a new study. On average, only about 9% of their compensation is tied to value care.
