The border is not necessarily where we can best understand processes of bordering. Bordering is something that happens everywhere. I was interested in reading that border scape thinking about it's aesthetically, socially and culturally what images does it give us. And there are three literatures there that should really kind of inspirational to me. One is a very kind of traditional geographic literature on landscapes which goes back against a car sour in the US or Hoskins in the UK.
