Philosophy is an active process of problem finding and problem solving. People, our minds, are searchlights, not buckets. Pop are rights in his essay a realist view of logic, physics and history that one should never get involved in verbal questions of meaning. If challenged by the question of whether a word one uses really means this or perhaps that, then one should say, I don't know, and I am not interested in meanings.
