After the Second World War, Britain lost a lot of labor because all the soldiers died and they want too many babies coming up either. You could just walk into England and basically you'd be guaranteed a job somewhere in a mill or odd jobs here and there. It was easy to come inside, which made it easier for the community to grow and become concentrated. But as far as demographics, you would pick and choose the city based on your relatives, where your relatives lived. So our relatives all in class, so we all came to class that way. And likewise with the Bengalis, with the Pakistanis, even with the Arab, they only moved into areas where they had their own demographic
