How Long Does It Take for Credit Card Transactions to Clear?

i've always wondered, that time between aa transaction, going from pending to clear it at the bank, why is it so different from a checking account to a credit card? I don't lee credit men they ever had, they sit in pending for days, especially if it's a holiday or a week end. And then they finally are marked as cleared. It just seems random. Certain stores, it seems like a clear is like, almost immediately sometimes. Some of them are faster now. But, well, this is whay. Greens charged so fast, but walmar took forever.
