What Is the Difference Between Horizontal and Vertical Scaling?
No sequal data bases are better at existing on multiple servers and being able to scale across those. Sequal data bases normally need to scale vertically, so you need to add more CPU or storage to that one server. With no sequal data basis, you can do horizontalor vertical scaling. And the data format plays a lot into that - imagine trying to join data from multiple different exce books or excel projects.
