The Importance of Prayer

Wisdom just doesn't fly off the bookshelf and into the ear of the apathetic or the unconcerned. Wisdom is given to those who seek her, who seek her. But there are conditions. If you do this, God will do this. It may not look exactly like what happened to the King Solomon, but God's promise is sure. And so in verses 3 and 4, for if you cry for discernment and you lift your voice that God will respond.
