The Importance of Long Stocks
When we got into the bubble period in the late 1990s, I wanted to be short. So I bought leap put options. And micron stock did collapse and I ended up getting all my money back and more. But it was a lesson. I don't want to short periods of time when credit is easy and people are acting like maniacs. In the late 90s, I never shorted a stock. I might have done one. It was all through put options. That limited my losses to whatever I was invested in,. And but it also gave me leverage if I was right.
