The Fusiform Drives and Face Recognition
The fusiform area of the brain is more likely to light up if it's just a face without a body as well. In macaques again they found that if they they will respond to faceless bodies if there is context that a face should be there. Context seems to be also key for facial recognition wow um which actually might be important in understanding this question oh my gosh my question is so obviously this part of our brain lights up if it’s just a face and in fact that's when it has the strongest recognition when it's strongest okay but if there is the implication of a face it will also sometimes or rather it it has a weaker signal but it's still there
