Is the Church Really Going to Take Care of You, the Church Is Going to Be Your Family?

Part of what's being assumed here is that the church is really going to act like the church. The only way we know that that was the case, absolutely, this was a big emphasis. You cannot be imploring people to remain single in this culture unless the church has had something that is completely countercultural to offer. We will continue next week with chapter eight.
