Phonic Lips in Action

The phonic lip is the nasopharyngeal air space. It's kind of like when you think about vocal fry and humans, it's our vocal cords. The movement of the phonic lips move like vibrate surrounding tissue, which causes the sound. And so actually tooth whales can do falsetto too.
