I've Been Using Markdown Text Editors for Years and Years
Scrivener is like the complete opposite of the types of apps that I have been using low these many years. It's rich text versus markdown or like in the really old days, late tech is the same idea. You're not visually seeing what the formatting is. Now, I don't know if I'm going to stick with Scrivener because constitutionally, I greatly prefer marking up text with markers that I can see as opposed to picking text to be stylized.
