Restored Paintings Under U v Lights
A lot of art dealers were using these u v lights, and experts, even at southerby's and christy, to examine a painting under the light. If they saw a reflective glow, a characteristic greenish glow, it signified that the varnish that they were examining was at least a hundred or a hundred and 50 years old. So you actually needed the old varnish from the restored paintings to put on top of the forgeries so that they looked old under a u v light. And that was one of my greatest eureka moments. It just happened accidentally.
